Week 4

This week in entrepreneurship I learned about competition and how it can actually be a good thing. At first at more of the start of the year, I thought competition would only make it harder for businesses to succeed. However, especially this week, we discussed how competition pushes businesses to improve their products, services, and customer experience. It also gives customers more choices, which forces companies to stand out. I learned that instead of fearing competitors, entrepreneurs should study them and learn from what they do well and what they do not. This helped me see that competition can motivate growth and innovation rather than just create challenges.

Week 3

This week in entrepreneurship, our class attended the Next Gen of Lancaster lunch at Loxley’s, and it gave me a new perspective on professional growth. Listening to different speakers talk about their career journeys made me realize that success does not happen all at once. Many of them took unexpected paths and had to adapt along the way. I also noticed how important communication skills were, especially how they presented themselves and connected with others. The event showed me that opportunities can come from simply putting yourself in the right environment. Overall, it helped me understand that building a career is a process that involves learning, adapting, and meeting new people along the way. I also learned a lot of new things about my own principal at LCHS.

Week 2

This week I learned about setting goals in entrepreneurship. Successful entrepreneurs set both short-term and long-term goals to guide their progress. We talked about how goals should be specific, realistic, and measurable so you can track your success. I realized that without clear goals, it is easy to lose focus or feel unmotivated. Goals also help break big ideas into smaller, manageable steps. This makes the overall process less overwhelming. I learned that setting goals is not just about planning for the future, but also about staying organized and motivated in the present. I think I am going to start trying to make lists of things to accomplish and goals to better organize my life.
